This 3-day First Aid at Work (FAW) course is essential for individuals working in various workplaces, including high-risk environments where accidents or injuries are more likely to occur.

This First Aid at Work Qualification is fully accredited by the First Aid Awards (FAA) and regulated by Ofqual.

This Qualification meets all the requirements of the Health and Safety First Aid at Work Regulation 1981 and is ideal for medium or large workplaces with over 50 employees. As well as high-risk environments such as construction sites, manufacturing, or workplaces with heavy machinery.

This course does not have to be delivered over 3 consecutive days and can be delivered over 3 days within a 10 week period.

This First Aid at Work Training Course (3 Days) meets the requirements of the SIA (Security Industry Authority) in the SIA licence application.

As an Ofqual regulated first aid training qualification, employers can book this course for their employees and rest assured that they have fulfilled their legal responsibilities for providing quality first aid training.

‘Open Courses’ are ideal if you can only release one or two members of staff to attend a First Aid Course. Ideal location with modern facilities and delivered by professional Training Consultants. We have delivered this course at the Partnership for Learning for over 14 years.

Who is the First Aid course suitable for:

A competency-based course, which additionally gives delegates a greater understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of First Aid and to the standards required by the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.

Duration:
Three consecutive days with each session lasting six hours. This course can be deliver over 3 days within a 10 week period to meet your business needs if required. Includes Certification and FREE First Aid at Work Manual.

Course aims:
The course provides a recognised qualification for the learner as well as providing the skills and knowledge to assist in a First Aid situation.

Course content:

This course provides learners with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively deal with a wide range of emergency situations. Topics covered include:


First day
  • Role and responsibilities of the first aider
  • Incident and casualty assessment
  • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
  • Safe use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
  • Unconscious casualty
  • Management of a seizure
  • Chocking
  • Shock
  • Bleeding
  • Accident report form


Second day
  • Respiratory system
  • Hypoxia
  • Chest injuries
  • Asthma and hyperventilation
  • Circulatory system
  • Wounds and Bleeding
  • Eye injuries
  • Fainting


Third day
  • Fractures, dislocations, sprains and strains
  • Head and spinal injuries
  • Secondary survey
  • Epilepsy and diabetes
  • Multiple choice question paper / written assessment
  • Course close and evaluation

3 Day First Aid at Work Training in Liverpool – Assessment and Certification:

Assessment for this course is ongoing by the instructor throughout the course and involves a number of practical and theoretical assessments including CPR. On completion of the training, delegates will receive an accredited first aid certificate, valid for 3 Years.
