The Food Safety in Catering Qualification is a crucial requirement for the catering and hospitality industry. It provides essential knowledge and understanding of good hygiene practices to individuals responsible for preparing open, high-risk foods, in compliance with food safety regulations. Additionally, all food handlers must possess a suitable qualification that aligns with their food handling work activities.
For workers already working in a catering or hospitality setting where food is prepared, cooked and served. Typical environments may include hospitals, care and nursing homes, schools, pubs, hotels, restaurants, contract catering, fast-food outlets, prisons and the armed forces.

The qualification is to present delegates with a firm understanding of the principles of food safety in any catering environment. The course also covers elements of food borne illness, food poisoning, how to reduce the risk of food contamination, hazard and HACCP.
